The MSA 300 is STIHL®’s most powerful cordless chainsaw, designed for demanding professional use—with power equivalent to that of the MS 261 C-M petrol chainsaw. Three available operating modes enable optimum battery efficiency across a range of applications such as felling, delimbing, and cutting to length.

The MSA 300 has a full electrical power output of 3.0 kW, delivered by the AP 500 S battery*. It allows for an adjustable chain speed with three settings—20 m/s, 24 m/s, and 30 m/s. When combined with the Light 04 guide bar and .325" RS Pro saw chain, it delivers excellent cutting performance while maintaining reduced weight. The chainsaw is highly ergonomic and comfortable for extended use thanks to its compact, balanced design and the STIHL® anti-vibration system.

The LED display enables intuitive operation, providing clear notifications on chain brake position and power settings. A mounting point for the STIHL® Smart Connector 2 A is integrated into the power tool housing. Additional features include an integrated cooling air filter, captive nut on the sprocket cover, and an adjustable oil pump. Like most tools in the AP System, the MSA 300 is IPX4-rated, meaning it is suitable for use in all weather conditions.

Working time with the AP 500 S battery is up to 20–44 minutes, depending on the selected speed setting.

*The MSA 300 must be used with the AP 500 S battery, the most powerful battery in the STIHL® AP System, which features power laminate technology—providing double the number of charging cycles compared to a typical STIHL® AP battery with cylindrical cells. With approximately 253 charging cycles per year (based on 253 working days in the UK), the battery can last close to 10 years with minimal capacity loss. An integrated Bluetooth® interface for STIHL connected allows the battery to be managed like a power tool.
